It is an eno-sensorial journey into the Sicily of excellence, the one proposed by Firriato in his tastings of the wines of Favignana, where niche productions are made, and where the territory and the variety choice of the plants are able to fully embody the guiding concept of terroir.
An exclusive tasting to learn about the only wine production currently available in the Egadi Archipelago. A heroic project, that of Firriato, which after more than a century after his death reports the cultivation of vines on the small island of Favignana. An extreme and frontier territory, the umpteenth challenge won by Firriato that today gives its admirers the Favinia line.
Three wines made from grapes grown in the five hectares of the splendid Tenuta di Calamoni in Favignana. Favinia la Muciara, blend of Grillo, Catarratto and Zibibbo, native Sicilian white grapes; Favinia Le Sciabiche, red wine obtained from Perricone and Nero d’Avola; and finally Favinia Passulè, Zibibbo in purity particularly appreciated for its pleasant sweetness never invasive.
The tasting proposal also includes the tasting of 3 other references belonging to the Terroir of Firriato, from the millennial viticulture of the Agro of Trapani to the power of Etna wines. The tasting is open to the public by appointment on specific dates.
It is possible to make the tasting directly in Favignana in the Tenuta Calamoni
